Lift net is a traditional small scale fishing gear that has been used in river side, lake and small streams areas for catching small shallow water fishes. At present, lift net is country wide in Myanmar but used only few areas. In Myanmar roughly classify into three basic types. There are portable lifts net, stationary lift net
and stick held dip net.
