The gear consists of a bamboo or metal frame, the net, and
a bamboo pole or a rope with a buoy. The frame is usually about 40 cm in diameter, or 40 cm square
along sides. The height of the frame is 15-20 cm. The net is made of PE, with 80 mm mesh size. The bait
is fixed to the center of the frame. The fisherman can operate this gear at very shallow water, from
a rowing boat or by simply walking along the shore. The catch is usually mangrove crab.
