2.2. Tugu (intertidal funnel nets)
     The tugu nets are set up side by side in series on wooden stakes driven into the seabed to form the platform to hold the net (see Figure 20). Before the ebbing or flooding of the water or during slack tide, the net is dropped in position to filter the moving water together with the fish to catch. The catch consists mainly of shrimps but may also include fishes such as mullets, ponyfish, etc.
