3. Fyke Net ( Stow Net)

     The Fyke net has bag-shaped structure with or without wings depending on the regional tradition and experience. The net is made of polyethylene yarn of 380D/2x3 -380D/4x3 or nylon yams of 210D/6 - 210D/12 and the mesh size is 10 - 20 mm. The mouth of net is fastened to two fixed poles against the current. When the current carrying the fish goes through the net, fish and shrimp are kept in the cod-end.
